Everything We Know So Far About the Eurovision Song Contest 2024

It’s only been 3 months since Loreen’s victory, but we are already looking forward to next year’s Eurovision.

Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in Malmö, Sweden in May 2024. As usual The Eurovision week will bring us three live shows.

The two Semi-finals will take place on 7 and 9 May, while the Grand Final will be on 11 May 2024.

Sweden’s Malmö is a true Eurovision city. This is their third time hosting the contest after 1992 and 2013. Just like in 2013, Malmö Arena, which is one of the largest arenas in the country with a capacity of about 13000 seats, will be the venue for next year’s contest.

The following countries have expressed interest for participating in the contest so far.

Austria
Azerbaijan
Cyprus
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Germany
Iceland
Ireland
Israel
Italy
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Moldova
Netherlands
Norway
Poland
Portugal
San Marino
Serbia
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
Ukraine

The most notable change in this list is obviously Luxembourg. They will be returning to Eurovision after a long absence. Their last participation was in 1993

The following countries are expected to return although they have not yet announced their participation.

Albania
Armenia
Australia
Belgium
Croatia
Czechia
Georgia
Greece
Latvia
Romania
Slovenia
United Kingdom

As usual, we will have the full list by the end of October 2023, which is the deadline for broadcasters to formally submit their applications.

Tickets are expected to go on sale by the end of 2023 or in January next year.

We will keep you posted about all things Eurovision in the coming weeks and months.
